Resolving the flooding issue near the pond area

Clent Parish Council has sought expert advise and assistance to try and resolve the flooding issue near the pond area.

During recent winters the area by the gate next to the pond has flooded following heavy rain. This has made getting into Centenary Field through this gate very difficult.
There is no single cause but it is believed that a combination of rain water running down the path through the allotments and water draining from Belbroughton Road and the higher parts of Centenary Field have been major factors.

This summer we have carried out some improvements to this area with the installation of a soak away and it is hoped that this will reduce the flooding that occurs. The photographs show the before and after changes.
