Outline of Meeting held on Monday 19th September 2016
Co-option of New Councillor
Following the resignation of Alan Hess the Parish Council were pleased to co-opt and welcome on the team Mr Andrew Beaumont (Drew).
Youth Council
The Youth Council visited the House of Commons and had a guided tour plus an interview with Sajid Javid MP. This was an exciting time for them as it was Teresa May’s first Prime Ministers Question Time. They are very keen to recruit new members to the Youth Council and if any young resident is interested in becoming a Youth Councillor could they please contact me clent.parish@btconnect.com. They will also be doing a big recruitment drive in Clent Primary School. The refurbishment of the skate park is due to start on Monday 25th September 2016.
De-Fibrillator
The de-fibrillator is due to be installed shortly outside Clent Parish Hall. Community Heartbeat Trust will then be arranging training for anyone who is interested and dates and details will be posted on our noticeboards and website nearer the time.
Centenary Field
It was agreed to apply for planning permission to install community toilets adjacent to the cricket pavilion in Centenary Field. This will then enable the cricket pitch to be used by Clent Primary School and also for parishioners when we hold events in the field.
The date of the next meeting is Friday 7th October, 7.00pm at Clent Parish Hall.
